Over the weekend, it became increasingly clear how deeply the Nigerian government failed the almost 300 girls who were recently kidnapped from their school. Amnesty International revealed it had credible sources who reported that officials knew the girls were potentially in danger hours before Boko Haram struck.

Learn more about these recent developments from the video by Amnesty International.

The Hunger Site and the GreaterGood Network have supported girl-focused education opportunities for years through Gifts That Gives More dedicated to the cause. We believe girls have a right to pursue their education in a safe environment. They have the right to the same opportunities and dreams as boys. Organizations like Boko Haram are categorically opposed to this idea.

You can help make educational equality a reality for a girl in need by donating to any of the 14 girl-focused causes. Your gift makes a profound difference for a young woman, giving her the opportunity to achieve the potential groups like Boko Haram fear so much.
