The devastating earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015 wiped out rice storage and killed crops. The Food and Agriculture Organization stepped in to help provide much-needed relief to local individuals by providing rice seeds, vegetable seeds and storage bags to help them rebuild. Part of the FAO's efforts has also included identifying vulnerable women farmers to help them resume food production.

Thankfully, the Hunger Site and GreaterGood.org are helping fund relief efforts to help starving families in Nepal. Click here to donate to send a seed kit that can support a family for 6 months.
