Feeding America’s School Pantry Program is Transforming Lives

Like many single moms across the country, Staci is bringing up two young daughters while trying to make a better life for her family by attending college. Money is tight, and sometimes things gets tough. Staci gets a helping hand through the School Pantry at the Connery School Gym.

Staci’s story is only one from the millions of Americans who face hunger every day. Many low-income families who find it difficult to afford nutritious food rely on the program to get fresh food for their kids.

Feeding America is tackling hunger across the nation, and no one program fits all situations and communities. School Pantries aren’t the only way that Feeding America is getting food to kids that need it. Millions of low-income children in the United States rely on food support from the National School Lunch Program. You can help them get the nutrition they need by donating to Feeding America’s BackPack Program which helps bridge the food gap left by the National School Lunch Program.
